My favorite drugstore products for December 2016

When it comes to my personal makeup stash, everyone knows I'm a baller on a budget. My motto is if it works, it's pigmented and if it's long lasting, I'm buying it.

Drugstore brands can work just as well as our high end products. The only thing that I noticed is that the product doesn't last as long as my more expensive products. For example, I always seem to hit pan** on my Wet N' Wild palettes faster than my MAC or ABH counterparts. To sum things up, don't be afraid to purchase a less expensive product. Read your reviews (like mine) watch your YouTube tutorials and you should be golden.

Let’s get started!

1. NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator

This is a new purchase of mine and this has got to be one of the best gifts I've ever given myself. I purchased the colors in Sunbeam and Pure Gold so I can mix and match the colors.

My favorite way to apply this highlighter is with a beauty blender on the highpoints of my face BEFORE setting my face with powder. It gives a natural healthy glow to the skin.

2. Ardell Double Up Wispies

So I'm a mink lash girl. I'm known for my big lashes, I want everyone to notice them and the thicker they are the better. I stumbled upon these bad boys at Nordstrom Rack and yes lord, they are everything!!!

These lashes will turn anyone into a bombshell, even if you're having just an eyeliner day. No need to apply mascara to make them look thicker (or do, it's your life boo). Ardell has got you covered.

3. Milani Conceal and Perfect 2-1 Foundation

If you guys take anything from my post today, make sure it's this foundation. This is like the exact dupe for Too Faced Born this Way foundation. It gives the skin a healthy glow and there is so much coverage! You'll want to make sure you pair this foundation with a good primer and setting powder if you have oily skin. My skin is dry so it's long lasting for me and I love the coverage. The only setback this foundation has is that it's a little hard to match for my fairer complexion ladies. I find that the lightest color shows up a little too olive. If you have a pinky undertone this is not the foundation for you, unless you want to correct your redness (just make sure you blend the foundation into your neck as well). For my ladies with deep skin, I am a MAC NC50 and I use the shade number 13 for the Milani foundation.
