'Tis the season for all of the glitter. In the past two weeks I've been preparing for Halloween, winter weddings and holiday parties. After my appointments are over I am left with glitter on my face, hands and hair. I'm going to leave you with a few tips and tricks to get rid of all of this sparkly mess.
Oil. Lots of oil. I have a natural curly texture and after several washes I was still left with sparkles on my hairline. Before giving up and hoping they'd fall out over time I went to my kitchen cabinet and applied olive oil all over. First of all, there are tons of benefits of adding olive oil to your hair and scalp. Second, I found that the glitter was starting to slip away.
After massaging it into your hair and scalp wash it out of your hair and boom, no more evidence of your glitter escapades.
I would recommend using coconut oil. You can use it for just about anything; Cooking, your hair, your face and body. You can even get rid of the toxins and bacteria in your teeth and gums by swishing it in your mouth. If you don't have this gift from the heavens, go out and get yourself some! Massage it into your face, wash it off, and then reapply a small amount to moisturize. Thank me later.
This is the absolute worst. I don't even bother painting my nails with glitter anymore. My best advice is to go to a nail salon and have them take care of it for you. If you're feeling very independent, I suggest turning your Pandora to Beyonce radio and saturate a cotton ball with acetone nail polish remover. Keep that bad boy on for a minute or two and get to scrubbing.
